We Are Trash Castle

We are Jen and Lindsay

We learned about Precious Plastic and felt inspired to know there were people around the world already making a difference in their communities. We want to be like those people, so we opened Trash Castle in the Chicago Sustainable Manufacturing Center, in our very favorite part of Chicago, Bridgeport. <3

What we do 

We collect, sort, and up-cycle post consumer waste. Once that hard work is done, we experiment with manufacturing high quality products that keep waste out of landfills, gutters, and waterways. You know, Actually Recycling.

We are Anti-Capitalist Entrepreneurs

We started Trash Castle to make a difference, not to make money. Most of what we do is to inform and educate our neighbors about the plague of plastics and other single-use materials. Humans can't buy our way out of this problem. The only answer is Less.

Should this be made out of plastic?

Plastic means forever, and we have to be honest with you... there are very few things in this world that should last forever. This means we don't have a shiny shopping page, but we hope you understand we take our job as waste diversion stewards very seriously. 

We don't want to sell you hype, but we'll gladly trade you a button or a zine and tell you about what we found in the garbage this week.
